GOT composer Ramin Djawadi talks on series melodies

'Game of Thrones' composer talks about the way he has composed melodies for US fantasy drama.

In a media interview, Iranian-German composer Ramin Djawadi talks about how he composed melodies for notable US series 'Game of Thrones'.

'Game of Thrones' includes various emotional sequences which we encounter with a sense of victory or defeat in war - knowing friends or enemies, becoming aware of a family member captivation, emotional and romantic meetings, and, of course, numerous battlefields.

“When a music theme was first released in the series, it could help the viewer to detect the rest of the story and I wanted to prevent it," said Ramin Djawadi the composer of 'Game of Thrones', adding, "In fact, I did not want to deal with the issue directly. So, I performed the music in a different way, letting the theme emerge step by step and at the end, I performed the final melody."

Ramin Djawadi (born July 19, 1974) is an Iranian-German composer. He has made scores for titles such as 'Clash of the Titans', 'Pacific Rim', 'Warcraft', 'A Wrinkle in Time', 'Slender Man' and television series, including 'Game of Thrones', 'Prison Break' and ‘Person of Interest’.
